Water-based Hydraulic Fluids

Hydraulic fluids must do more today than ever, as operating pressures and demands for greater reliability and safety have increased. The key is to identify products that offer the best combination of lubrication performance, and protection from corrosion and wear, for your operation. Water-based hydraulic fluids we recommend are:

• Houghto-Safe 419-R – Water glycol type fire-resistant hydraulic fluid provides maximum fire resistance, is Factory Mutual approved as a less hazardous fluid.
  
  
• Houghto-Safe 620 – Premium water glycol type fire resistant hydraulic fluid provides maximum safety; ideal for use under pressure, near open flames or in high temperature areas.
  
  
• Houghto-Safe 1000 Series Phosphate Ester – Products combine excellent lubricating properties with approval for operation in all types of pumps and hydraulic components.  

• Houghto-Safe 1000 Series–Factory Mutual approved and are made from triaryl phosphate ester plus corrosion and oxidation inhibitors that extend fluid service and ensure maximum hydraulic circuit component life. 1000 Series fluids excel in fire resistance, component lubrication, thermal stability, and corrosion prevention; use at temperature up to 150°F. 

• Cosmolubric HF-130 – High quality synthetic polyol ester (POE) hydraulic fluid is chemically and thermally stable, Factory Mutual approved.  It was designed for long service life in areas requiring hydraulic fluids with low flammability.  Fluids contain an additive package for  enhanced corrosion protection, metal passivation, hydrolytic stability and oxidation inhibition.
  
  
• Cosmolubric HF Series Polyol Esters – Chemically and thermally stable, these fluids were designed for long, dependable performance in areas where less flammable hydraulic fluids are used.  Additive package delivers a unique combination of performance, corrosion protection, metal passivation, hydrolytic stability and oxidation inhibition.
  
  
• Cosmolubric B Series Vegetable Oil Based Fluids – Fire resistant hydraulic fluids are vegetable oil derived and fire resistant; additives enhance corrosion protection, metal passivation, and oxidation inhibition.  Factory Mutual approved as less hazardous fluids, they are also USDA certified as bio-based products.

• Hydrolubric 120-B– Synthetic biodegradable water additive was developed for central water systems using reciprocating plunger, multi-stage centrifugal or multi-stage gear pumps. Normally used at a 2-5% concentration, is readily disperses in water and provides both lubrication and rust prevention.  This soluble synthetic is compatible with conventional soluble oils, industrial ethylene and propylene glycol, and commercial permanent anti-freeze. 

• Hydrolubric 123-B – Synthetic biodegradable water additive meets the needs of central water systems. At 2% concentration, polar synthetic components in 123-B provide a film on metal surfaces that reduces friction and protects against aqueous corrosion.  Additives protect systems from bacterial and fungal infections.
